Brooklyn Strength
Brooklyn Strength
Brooklyn Strength is more than just a studio, it's a community. Brooklyn Strength, much like Brooklyn itself, has been a place for connection, support, and growth. Through laughter, tears, and honest conversations about life, politics, and everything in between, Brooklyn Strength has created an environment where clients become friends and friends become family. From supporting those through personal struggles to celebrating milestones, the studio has always been a space of inclusivity and care. As it celebrates a decade in existence, Brooklyn Strength remains a testament to the power of movement, connection, and resilience.
Cadence Dubus
Cadence Dubus is a dedicated movement educator with over twenty years of experience in modern dance, pilates, strength training, neuro-repatterning, and yoga. As the founder of Brooklyn Strength, she specializes in working with a wide range of clients, from transmasc individuals to women in their 70s and 80s, addressing the unique needs of each body. She helps people navigate scar tissue, injury recovery, the complexities of pregnancy and birth, and the circumstances that make up our lives— both struggles and celebrations. Through her work, Cadence empowers clients to discover relief, regain movement, and tap into their inner strength, guiding them to express the full potential of their bodies.
Cadence splits her time between Ithaca, NY and the sandy shores of Coney Island, Brooklyn with her giant Pitbull, Jupiter, and tiny Chihuahua, Elektra. Between teaching, she can be found dunking in waterfalls, dunking in the ocean, biking around Brooklyn, hiking around Ithaca, and baking a lot of pies.
