Dead Signals is a production company dedicated to the creation of forward-thinking audio drama. Our goal is to tell tales that challenge what’s possible in sonic storytelling, demonstrated by our hit podcasts Archive 81 and The Deep Vault. Our team consists of Daniel Powell and Marc Sollinger, both experienced audio storytellers, having worked at The New York Times and The Moth.
Dan Powell is a New York City-based audio engineer, sound designer and composer who often works within the niche of podcasting. He currently works at The New Times, where he supervises nearly all original music composition for the paper’s podcasts, including The Daily, The Headlines, The Wirecutter Show, Modern Love, and more. He is also the co-founder of Dead Signals, the audio fiction production company responsible for Archive 81 and The Deep Vault.
Marc Sollinger is a writer and audio storyteller living in Brooklyn, NY. He’s currently the podcast producer at The Moth. With Dan Powell, Marc created Dead Signals, a fiction podcast production company that created The Deep Vault and Archive 81, which was developed into a Netflix show.
